This is one of my favorite tools that I have used for a very long time in my kitchen: my Microplane Grater and Zester.
Oh, it has a history alright. In fact, Tammy might just tell ya about the time way back when that she basically grated her finger off of this thing. Gross? Yeah. This baby’s sharp. Handle with care.
So what do I use my zester/grater for? Well, so, I do have two of them because you know, just convenient. I use the slightly larger one for hard cheeses like Parmesan or Romano, and the smaller one for zesting lemons, limes, and my favorite, fresh nutmeg. Oh yeah. That stuff smells good.
