Just shortly after my husband and I got married and then he got shipped overseas, I started having once a month dinner with my sisters that live in Salt Lake area. My family’s kind of spaced out at the end – I being one of the youngest sibs. So, I felt like I never got to know my sisters very well growing up since I was the annoying and spoiled little sister (I admit it now! It’s true).
So, what does this have to do with Baked Brie, you may ask? Well, at our very first dinner, my sister Janell did this simple recipe for our appetizer and I absolutely loved it! Years later, we are still having our monthly get-togethers and expanded them beyond the sisters only. It’s fun how we’ve been able to get to know each other better over the years and become better friends as adults. I wouldn’t change my family for anything in the world! Love you ladies! (Am I getting too cheesy and gushy yet with all this talk of family love and Brie?)
Anyway, the recipe’s super easy: one round of Brie – cut off the rind (I usually leave the bottom one on just because it doesn’t matter that much), put in a baking dish.
Top with brown sugar and red grapes cut in half and place is 350 degree oven for 25-30 minutes until cheesy is nice and melty. I love serving this with some good quality crackers, such as Breton.
It’s easy, it’s classy, and it’s yummy. And if you have leftovers (we rarely do), you can just cover ’em up, throw ’em in the fridge, and reheat later for a second round.

[…] Baked Brie with Brown Sugar and Grapes – this literally takes like 5 minutes to throw together and then just warm it up in the oven for about 20 min and serve with some nice crackers. I know, is there really room in the oven? Just squeeze it in with the other goods. It just needs to warm through to melt the cheese – that’s all. […]
