Cinnamon Sugar Sprinkled Pie Crust Chips

Ingredients

  • Leftover scraps from double-crusty pastry all-butter, all-shortening, or store bought
  • 1 beaten egg for egg wash optional,
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Roll out your leftover uncooked pie crust scraps.
  3. Cut out desired shapes, or use knife to cut into strips.
  4. Brush with your egg wash (optional).
  5. Sprinkle on cinnamon sugar mixture.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until chips turn golden brown.
  7. Eat plain, dip in caramel, fruit butter, or whatever else sounds good!

Dress it Up:
Add a little more flavor by sprinkling on some fresh ground nutmeg, clove, allspice, or all of the above!
