Easy Homemade Coconut Milk Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsweetened shredded coconut
  • 4 cups hot water
  • 1 to 3 dates optional, for sweetness, pitted
  • pinch of salt optional

Instructions

  1. In a blender jar, combine coconut flakes, water and dates (optional).
  2. Blend until smooth.
  3. Strain milk through a strainer or a nut bag to remove pulp.
  4. Add pinch of salt if desired.
  5. Refrigerate.

Recipe Notes

Coconut fat can separate over time. Just give it a good shake if this happens to recombine before drinking.
