Food in the Nude

Ok guys. So I was gonna wait to roll this out for a little while, but honestly, if not for anyone else, I’m doing this for me. FOOD IN THE NUDE. Don’t you like the name? Haha. I thought it was pretty clever.

So what is this”Food in the Nude” series? Well, basically, it’s going to way to understand ingredients better. The plan is to take some of the most basic ingredients in cooking and baking and understand what function each performs in a recipe. We’ll list common pairings with the ingredient, some good recipes that use the ingredient (adding recipe links as we add more to the blog), tips and tricks on how to use the ingredient (depending on it’s role in the dish). And maybe more. It should be fun.

I’ll admit, I’m not an expert in this, like AT ALL. But that’s why I’m actually wanting to do it. Because it’s something I want to research and share. So we’re talking grains, leavening, dairy, eggs, fruits, vegetables, extracts, and seasonings…..for starters.

So we’ll keep the recipes coming. But look for some additional posts at least once a week…. and we’ll just see where this goes!
