Turkey Pot Pie Recipe

By Christina | Food Apparel Leave a Comment

shop-til-you-dropSo, I don’t do Black Friday. I just don’t find any appeal to wake up early and fight the masses for a “deal”. Especially when I’ve read reports that say if you look at the right times, you can get most of these prices on the internet retailers sometime during the year. But, you know, kudos to those of you who do. I mean, it is literally an art for some people. I’ve seen the scouring of the ads, mapping out the stores…..the game plan. It’s intense.

Me? What did I do in the wee hours of the morn today? Well, I was still partially passed out from my turkey coma. Then, I rolled out of bed still way too early. And now time to rummage through the leftover goods to get some eats on the table for tonight.

LOVE ME SOME THANKSGIVING.

So, you guys, seriously, I really honestly just wanted to bring to your attention the best use of your leftover turkey, and that would be: TURKEY POT PIE.

Some may say, no, just go make a turkey sandwich. And you know, I guess that can work. But just promise me you will save some for a pot pie. It’s amazing.

Even if your turkey just maybe didn’t quite turn out the way you were hoping (a little dry, a little lacking in flavor), pot pie will save the day!

Luckily, we just happen to have a couple of recipes for such an occasion:

Chicken or Turkey Pot Pie on FoodApparel.com

This is an amazing Homestyle Chicken Pot Pie with Parmesan Crust that is my absolute fav! Just straight up substitute turkey for the chicken. If you are running short on time, you can use a Puff Pastry Sheet for the topping like these ones from Pepperidge Farm.

Easy Chicken or Turkey Pot Pie at FoodApparel.comHere’s another great option with this Easy Chicken Pot Pie. Sometimes, you don’t just want to spend tons of time making more food. I mean seriously, you just cooked a whole freakin’ feast. Take a break!

Now, bring on Christmas! (Except minus the Black Friday and all of holiday shopping in general for me. I am saying this strictly in terms of baking folks.)
